The race Sunday in Kirtland was almost perfect fall conditions. What a beautiful day to race. We had a lot of fun watching the action out on the course. Aside from the usual slips and falls, you folks put on a great show racing! We had hoped for more mushy, sloppy stuff like last year, but the dry late summer and fall have made for a bunch of solid, fast courses.
Anyway, results and standings are posted. For the NEOCX standings, we take the best 5 of 7 races, so if you’ve raced all six, you’ll start to see some races get dropped. The dropped races appear with a ** by the dropped result. One more race to to. We’ll see you at Broadview!
Thanks to everyone who came out today to set up, tear down, organize, spectate, participate, or officiate (or some combination of the above) today. The North Coast Gran Prix really went up another level this year. Thank you to our sponsors, Velogoat, Hirobel, Great Lakes Brewery, and Velofemme for their great support.
Results are up. USAC will be updated on Monday. Series points to follow soon.
Series Points have been updated to include Edgewater & Brooklyn Races. Please let us know if anything looks incorrect. We won’t start dropping the worst race until we’ve completed 5 races.
Don’t forget that we’re racing at the Cleveland Velodrome on Sunday, October 11th! See the schedule page for details.
As long as we have all these graphs and spreadsheets lying around, we thought we’d go ahead and calculate the Series Points based on the first race at Blue Sky. Most of you can probably figure out that if you finished 5th in your category on Sunday, that you’re officially 5th in the series. But, we’ll try to keep this updated after each race and you can see where you’re at in the series.
Click on the Results link above and the link to Series Standings will be at the top of the page.
We decided to bring the NEOCX website back to life. The Schedule has been updated, including all links to the NEOCX event flyers, online registration links, maps to the venues, and start locations. The daily event schedule appears on the flyers and at the bottom of the event schedule. Keep in mind that NEOCycle/Edgewater Cyclocross has a different event schedule from the other NEOCX events.
On the Results Page, we’ve linked to the detailed results files from our scoring system. This includes lap times and lap charts. We do have some cool animation we’ll add later, but it comes with a catch. The chips only read at the start/finish line. We’re not actually tracking your position at every point on the course. So, it’s not quite Strava Flyby, but it’s pretty cool anyways.
We’ll get the series points calculated after this weekend’s events at Edgewater. Call-ups for Brooklyn will be based on series points – assuming your pre-register for the event.
My does the time fly!
