The working schedule for the 2012 NEOCX Cyclocross Series has been updated!
Please note that the series opener will be September 9 in Elyria.
The Manatoc weekend CX race is not possible this year so Team Lake Effect is going to keep the cross season going in December with two races. We want a fair turnout for all our teams and clubs hosting events, so there will be a December race requirement for series qualification. Get tuff!
What are the odds someone is Larping at Elyria again? Because frankly I’m willing to bet on that outcome.
Hey Dave, maybe you should request a food truck that serves mutton and turkey legs for Elyria – just in case the LARPers come in full force.
How do I sign up for racing in this series? is there any additional web site info?
Hi Corey –
Thanks for the question. For 2012, each race is individually promoted – there is no “series registration” but rather on-site registration for each event.
Online registration is something we are looking to do in 2013 as the series continues to grow.
See you at the races!
Gregg
I am 56 and want to race B. should I sign up for the men’s senior category?
Yes. The men’s senior category is for masters (35+, 45+, etc.) Though listed at 40 minutes and a “B” category race – it is really a USAC masters race. As the NEOCX series series has grown, a number of racers and the series organizers are working on clarifying those categories.
Left a jqacket – bright yellow – by a tree, opposite the start at Cascade Park today for race – anyone pick it it up please call – Thanks Phill W 301-524-6399
Also if anyone knows a number to call for Snakebite I would be gratefull – Looked on their website without luck – Thanks – Phill W
If this is a best of series, what is the majic number of races to qualify for final points ? How many races required in December ? Thanks, Rich G
I think we are keeping the magic number at seven (7). But you’ll have to race two (2) races in December to be series qualified.
Is the Chagrin River event happening? Any details available for either/both days? I would like to travel from Rochester, NY for this event, but it’s hard to make plans when there is no event information available anywhere. Thanks!
I haven’t received current flyers – but it will be at the same location as last year and follow the same format. Saturday is the costume race. Sunday is not.
Here are last year’s flyers for reference – note that the 2012 races have different dates…
It is definitely a fun weekend of racing!

Hey, how about having in 2013 a relay event? It would be even more fun to have it handicapped – say a 2, 3, or 4-person team, of any skill level. Could be fun….
